Since the moment I first immersed myself in the world of Greek Mythology, I was in love. By reading Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, I discovered a place to escape reality with gods, monsters, and heroes. I still cannot resist the exciting tales of a whole other world from the past. The gods and goddesses, more specifically, Athena had always peaked my interest. Not only was my favorite character from Percy Jackson her daughter, but all the gods respected the Goddess. I saw glimpses of myself in the immortal and traits that I hope to possess someday. The author portrayed Athena as wise, just, and calm.
From the glimpses of her I received from the books, I painted her in my mind as all these things. In Athena, I recognized traits I possessed
