Atheist Worldview Research Paper

There are several types of religions in our world. Each religion has their own views and beliefs on how our world was created. Christians believe the world and everything in it was created by God and God only. While Atheists believe there is no God at all, and they have different views on how the world was created. Christianity verses Atheistic Theism: they are two completely different worldviews. This is where I will compare and contrast my worldview to the Atheist worldview. The ultimate reality is, “something that is the supreme, final, and fundamental power in all reality”, which is God. Christians believe that God is the ultimate reality. We believe that God created the earth and everything on it. Atheists believe there is no God, and that we were created during the Big Bang, “a scientific event millions of years ago that caused the particles in the universe to become ordered. Through evolution, or the ability of creatures to gradually adapt to their surroundings biologically, we have seen the rise of a many different species of animal and plant life.” When someone is Atheist they do not have a religion. The Christian theistic answer to this question is, “History is linear, a meaningful sequence of events leading to the fulfillment of God’s purposes for humanity” (Sire, 2009, pg. 43). All things are leading to the culmination of time at the second coming of Christ. The strength in this view is that we are not just here for no reason. Our existence on the earth is for God purposes and history is actually His story. Where the Atheist view is that we have no meaning or purpose. To an atheist, the knowledge that we have only one life makes it all the more precious and ensures a life-affirming, life-enhancing attitude, untainted with wishful thinking, self-delusion or
