It can fit about 100,000 people in it plus staff. Another cool thing about the stadium is its enormous television. The gigantic TV is 160 feet wide and 72 feet tall, and it weighs 1.2 million pounds. It also has a very large amount of light bulbs in it; which comes to a number of 30 million light bulbs. It took 1 year to build the TV, 4 months to install it, and has a price tag of 40 million dollars. I know your thinking “how does Jerry Jones pay for all these things!” Well it’s because Jerry Jones owns both the AT&T Stadium and the Rangers stadium and each stadium makes about 400-700 million dollars per year, and he also has the help from other companies like NFL and ESPN. Also a fun fact about the AT&T Stadium is that it has a underground jail.Usually when the cowboys are playing home games fans get a little rowdy, and they usually have 1-2 people get arrested each game. You never know what goes on at a Cowboys

David Pryor knew he was beat. He knew it from the start, but he spoke from his heart, picked up support from Cliff Gibson, but they went down strongly but quietly Thursday as the University of Arkansas board of trustees voted 8-2 for a $160 million expansion to Reynolds Razorback Stadium. It wasn't denied the project most likely will be more in the neighborhood of $200 million when completed. Before doing the math, which shows that is more than $60,000 for each of the proposed 3,000-plus additional seats -- all in luxury suites most of us will only see through binoculars -- understand a big part of that money is for the new athletic facility that will have underground parking so, as one former trustee said, it will keep the administration from…

Jimmy Crammer and I got one of our parents to drive us to the Commack Arena to see a concert. The then current popular band— signed to Apple Records by the freakin’ Beatles— was Badfinger, who was performing on a bill with two other acts—Cactus, who was the headliner, and Bull Angus— being the last band of importance. Commack Arena was a 6700 seat; dilapidated, old and tattered building, that looked like a huge airplane hangar, and once the house of the very popular Long Island Ducks hockey team, and the semi-popular New York Nets.…

Should the public be responsible for the cost of a new stadium in their city? It is a major question in today's society. In an article on pbs.org it states since the 1960’s, 91 sports stadiums have been built with public funding, 22 of them being fully paid for by the public (Elaine S. Povich). Instead of having the franchise owner fund these stadiums, which seems very reasonable considering they own the team, the public spends their money on these enormous stadiums. Football stadiums can take years to build and the local communities will pay these taxes even after the team leaves that city in some cases.…
