The Fall of Icarus has asymmetrical balance because it’s not exactly the same on each side. If you cut the painting in half, what happens on the left side doesn’t occur on the right side. For example, on the left side the sun is made up of implied lines but on the right side, it’s just the sky. Also, on the right, there is a green animal while on the left side there is the red street with no green animal. In the center of the painting where Icarus, focal point, is if you were to cut it in half one-half would be where are legs are and the other half is his upper body, so this proves that the painting has asymmetrical balance.
