The Asylum Seeker Help Centre will be located in the Aceh province of Indonesia.
The ASHC will provide capacity building for local services in in the local community. This location is ideal for the objectives of the ASHC as it is a frequent transit position of asylum seekers.
The aim of the ASHC partnerships is to improve and strengthen services and management capacity within the community for the communities benefit. The areas of focus will be education and legal services. Specific legal services of focus will be assessments advising and assistance

Action Relief is a NGO that was established in 2005 to provide relief the tsunami effect region. Since its beginnings the organization works towards community based resolutions of local issues. These include the improvement of education, health, sanitation and economic opportunities. The organization not only provides to those effected by natural disaster but also those fleeing conflict or war. Thus this particular NGO is a vital component of our legal community based capacity building.
The ASHC will also be sending representative of the center to local schools to provide an educational curriculum on asylum seek issues to raise awareness amongst the community. These training services will be offered twice yearly to the most appropriate organizations. The Gender based persecution training will see a partnership with Kaolisi. The NGO is an advocacy-based organization that campaigns against discriminary laws in Aceh. Part of Kaolisi approach is building alliances with civil organizations that have common perspectives and goals toward improving the human rights situation in the region of Aceh.
