When I first found out about Japanese culture I fell in love with it deeply, it made me feel like a child on its first game system. But there is one question about the assumption of it and that question is “Should the amount of american assumption be considered Cultural Appropriation?”No! American consumption of anime should be more of a cultural exchange instead. I believe that Anime/Manga is made for everyone starting with the very creation of Astro Boy.(The First Anime ever released in America!!) If we were to say that it's anything i believe it would be more of Cultural Appreciation instead of Cultural Appropriation.

Stereotypes of people of color and minority races have been around for many years, and have proved themselves to dominate the perception of people of color in everyday life. Films portray people of color as they are perceived by white Americans, not how they truly are, unique. Film has only dirtied the minority races’ image over time, though if the movies were not made by other Americans, they were more accurate to their race. Stereotypes of Asians have been around for a long time, ever since Asians were introduced. Stereotypes such as Asian students are smarter, Asian women are more exotic and tend to wait on men, Asian women are submissive, Asian people are all from China, and many others.…

Cultural appropriation has been defined by many as the process of using something from a different culture and making it marketable without taking into consideration the religious and cultural aspects of the thing in question. Unfortunately, a multitude of organizations are guilty of this and it is clear that the perpetrators value money more than the cultures they are taking advantage of. It seems as if it would be difficult for people who work for these businesses to avoid cultural appropriation if it resulted in smaller profit margins . Yet, it is imperative for individuals to both learn about different cultures, and ultimately, to respect their values, traditions, and wear, among other things. Due to these beliefs, if I were to work for a company that that had recently moved to India and wanted to export items such as: statues of Lord Ganesha, tribal paintings of elephants, silver khol containers, large silver nose rings with a chain that runs from the nose the ear, and red and gold brocade sarees, I would do my best to help educate my superior about the importance of some of these thing in Hinduism, and…

Immigrants are being disrespected by Americans by wanting them to assimilate to their culture and forget their original culture. Americans want immigrants to forget their traditions and celebrate the Americans’ culture. When immigrants come to America, they bring their cultures with them, which gives Americans the ability to assimilate cultures to shape their identity. Many Americans live in communities that share one culture, which will convince them to assimilate to that culture’s traditions. In the article titled, “ Blaxicans and Other Reinvented Americans” by Richard Rodriguez, states that “I am Chinese and that is because I live in a Chinese city and because I want to be Chinese” 91.…
