Every year, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America declares May to be “National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month.” Spring is a peak season for asthma and allergy sufferers, lending it to be the perfect time to educate different communities about these diseases. There are two major types of asthma, occupational and childhood. Occupational asthma is caused by inhaling fumes, gases, dust, or other potentially harmful substances.
