Assumption Swim Team Case Study

6 months ago, I never would have imagined I’d be signing with the Assumption Swim Team. Shortly after I joined Executive Swim Club during sophomore year, I had a conversation with my new coach, Brian Crawford, about possible schools I could swim for in college. He advised me with many great options, but when he mentioned Assumption, I couldn’t take him seriously. I told him that I wasn’t of that caliber of swimming, but he refused. He simply told me to keep up the good work, because it would pay off in the end. Time flew by, and soon enough, I was visiting Assumption for an official tour. I had the opportunity to meet swim coach Stuart Cromarty. After he spent hours with my family and I, explaining every aspect of their championship team and campus, I knew this school was the right fit, because everything just seemed to click. …show more content…
I want to thank Coach Brian for all the time he has put into helping me improve physically, but most importantly, helping me get through all mental blocks standing in the way. With every grueling workout, Brian was always at the end of the blocks, singing to Michael Jackson and Shawn Mendes. Although these were quick moments, they sure did make the pain more bearable! Given the last 2 years I have been swimming at Executive, Brian’s challenging coaching has been instrumental in assisting me in my endeavors as an accomplished swimmer.

I also want to thank Nance Mcmanus for coaching me on the High School Swim Team. Without you, the high school experience never would have been so memorable. The team’s enthusiasm and the friendships made would not be possible without you! All MHS swimmers are so supportive and determined to give it their all, and I am so grateful that I got to be a part of that
