Assistive technology covers a wide variety of devices that allow disabled children to engage in more classroom activities. In addition, assistive technology has evolved from a few simple mechanisms that were not always reliable to devices that can help the student hear exactly what the teacher is saying and be able to effectively communicate with other classmates.
