Evidence from previous studies and analyses has shown there is a link between assisted conception and birth defects (1-6). There are two main types of assisted conception that are linked with birth defects: in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) (1-6). “In vitro fertilization (IVF) is the joining of a woman 's egg and a man 's sperm in a laboratory dish. In vitro means outside the body. I agree with the conclusions that the authors of this article made because they observed the results of similar previous studies and outside sources to make accurate conclusions based on the results that were obtained from this study. Also, this study used information from a registry, which included accurate information that the authors used to obtain results. These results were able to be used to give an accurate conclusion. Also, the findings of this article are a great guideline and reference to those who are considering treatments for
