I have no idea about cultural anthropology until I took this class. I have comprehensive approach methods to the study Sudanese immigrant’s struggles that lived in the United States of America, particularly in the State of Missouri. The methods I used as follow: 1. Describe questions such as could you tell me what you do to adopt or assimilate into a new culture? Or could you describe the way you adopt or assimilate into a new culture? 2. Structural questions I asked can you think of any way what kind of activities you would do to learn assimilate into a culture. 3. I used contrast questions just asking what is the difference between Sudanese culture and American culture? Or what you do different in American and Sudan? 4. Or could you describe what happen from your adjustment or assimilate to the culture now? During my interviews, find out that Sudanese immigrant’s struggle harder to assimilation into the new culture. They told me that to assimilate completely in someone’s culture is another challenge experience. For examples, some of Sudanese immigrants say that when they arrived in this country, it was hard to fit in or assimilate into their culture. They say that some of us try to start to read and ask questions to know about the new culture. I interview couple individuals I find many concentrated ideas. But my project on the cultural anthropology allows me to look at other cultures differently and understand a little better what that group has gone through to get to where they are today. Some of told me that they were convinced yourself that this is your new life and learn everything with time. In other words you have to learn everything from the culture and adjust according to the culture and environment and preserve what you come from as your culture. These direct quotations from my informers in which they told me and not all of interviews were written here but just some samples. See my field trip notes for more

In order to put some of these bias’ to rest, more research needs to be done. Studies and evidence needs to be present in order to help everyone feel comfortable with the ideas of foreign-born people coming to the United States. Educating others will be one of the key components in order to help with assimilating and get everyone on board in wanting to help make assimilating easier for New Americans. How students are being viewed when they enter a class room, having to equalize the learning for every student may be difficult coming from cultures around the world. I did not know that teachers had to go through all that for every student how they had to adapt and help learn each other’s culture. I found it very interesting that culture assimilation is of a student’s group which resembles culture of those of another group, absorbing the main culture of his/her society. It relates to the time of (1820-1970) when immigrants came to America to take on the white way of living giving the Americans a hard time to find jobs because the immigrants would work for…

At first, Sioux parents were willing to send their children to schools because they believed education was necessary to recover lost lands (pg. 151).…
