Assignment Numbers 90-101

Assign numbers to represent the batteries. I will assign the batteries in working condition the numbers 0-89 based on how they come off the production line in working condition 90% of the time. Next, numbers 90-99 will represent the defective batteries because of the 10%. Then, I’ll count by twos and move across the row. I’ll then count how many times working or defective batteries occur. A trial is when 10 working batteries are found. We will see how many batteries it takes on average to get 10 working ones.

It takes approximately 12 batteries (12.33 repeating to be exact) to end up with 10 working. In our three trials trial 1 it took 12 batteries to get 10 working. Trial 2 took 14 batteries, and finally trial 3 took 11 batteries. We
