Assignment 2: The Story of Color
Orange is found on the traditional color wheel between red and yellow.Orange is found
in nature, as the color of pumpkins and leaves, often representing the autumn season. There are
two pure orange pigments, Chrome orange and Realgar.Other shades of orange were popularly
found in oil paintings and water colors. The complementary color of orange is a greenish - blue
color.
Orange is used mostly as an accent color, bringing out the other colors around it. It
wasn't until around the 70’s when orange became a popular color, where it became symbolic for
