Currently, the concept of wellness commonly applied across health cares and other disciplines. However, the term of wellness may be used differently across contexts, disciplines, and populations. In this essay, there are 2 articles focusing on wellness, the first one entitled “How should we define health?” (Huber et al., 2011) and the other one from McMahon and Fleury (2012) entitled “Wellness in Older Adults: A concept Analysis”. Both of these articles revealed both similar and different perspectives in wellness. Hence, to clarify the wellness by comparing and contrasting, these following issues, the definition, sources of definition, and implications, will present.
