I have learned right after my first visit to the OR on September 30th when we had a meeting with the entire team. we had a walk through the OR department, It was a first glance of the anesthesia care unit (ACU), MAIN Operating Room (OR), Supply Room, Sterile Processing Department (SPD), and the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or recovery. “ identify possible solutions across the surgical department to create the most efficient workflow” was determined as the main objective of our project
2. How have I learned or not, and do I know what kind of learner I am?
3. It is obvious for me that I am a visual learner, I have a clear preference for observation method. I remember pretty well what I see, but the combination of the three learning styles (auditory, kinesthetic and visual) is the perfect match if we want to find solutions across the surgical department to create a most efficiently workflow. First we need to gain the knowledge of the surgical department area and this indicates acquisition of information, facts, and observation of the workflow process. Second we need to gain understanding of the process to be able to apply problem-solving techniques by analyzing, and synthesizing the acquired information.
