The first thing that came to mind about the experience is the level of uncertainty we had about the patient. First, we received the scenarios and determined he was the most ill patient. After, we began our assessment on the patient, but we did not know he was going to require CPR. However, we did respond quickly to the situation.

We decided what was wrong with the patient and worked efficiently as a team to provide CPR. Although we were unaware of what was going to happen during the scenario, we worked quickly in determining the patient was in distress and began treatment immediately.

The safety issues present could cause harm to patients or the health care staff. Also, I would chart the incident more efficiently. It is important to have an accurate record of the event for future records and to ensure there are no corrections needed for administering a code.

I met the objectives by using the information that I knew to contribute to the team. We used teamwork and collaboration by working together to provide the patient with CPR. Also, we used our individual strengths to assume roles in caring for the patient.
