Research for Assignment 1, Safety Awareness Trainings, started on January 24th, 2017 and was fully developed by February 13th, 2017. The assignment was completed by Halie Townley. These Safety Awareness Trainings were developed for each piece of machinery and each of the tools located in Southland Industries’ Union City Fabrication Shop, located at 33225 Western Ave, Union City, California. The Safety Awareness Trainings were to consist of three parts, an Accident Hazard Analysis, a Safety Training PowerPoint, and a Lockout/Tagout training for non-affected employees.
The fabrication shop is divided between two separate processes, the sheet metal shop and the pipe shop. The sheet metal shop prefabricates all HVAV duct work, including square
