a. On page 8, what I found interesting was the fact that multinational firms like Google and Microsoft, hire anthropologists into various sectors of its business to get a cross-cultural outlook on how its product can be introduced to other cultures.
b. The example of “Go-Gurt” is a great one to compare how the American way of life differs from most southern cultures. In America, we are so work driven that sitting down and having a meal, especially breakfast, is something that we as a culture are seeing less and less of. In other parts of the world meals are considered to be the focal point of the day so spending the time to have it is valuable.
c. Page 17 describes how social control systems are essential for a group of people to survive. Basically saying that without law and order societies crumble. However these laws must be made for the well-being of the society, without discrimination.
