• Discuss the background of the entrepreneur (i.e. history, development, family and socio-cultural background) to see what developed his/her entrepreneurial passion and contribute to this person’s success.
Naomi Simson is an Australian entrepreneur and was born in 1964 .she founded Red Balloon , an online gift retailer based in Australia .She graduated from University of Melbourne in 1984 She was working in the corporate arena with the marketing teams at companies like Ansett Airlines and Apple and that experience gave her the strength and knowledge to start her first business , a marketing consultancy from home. She also believes that her mantra came from the words from her mother “If Lyndsey can do it, you can too” which later evolved into “If it is meant to be, it is up to me.” Her Dad taught her to dream big and that she could do anything if she put her heart to it. He taught her the definition of motivation. Naomi’s Dad himself started his business from home which he ran successfully for 30 years so all these factors contributed to Naomi Simson’s entrepreneurial passion and also contributed to her success as an Entrepreneur.

Characteristics of the entrepreneur
Naomi Simson implements fantastic employee engagement strategies into her entrepreneurial ventures that also included working with companies who were practicing the same strategy so keeping in mind she launched Radii, an employee engagement platform that helps companies create the culture they want. According to her version of being an entrepreneur, these 8 points truly covers:
