It is said that isolation can have a negative effect on the way people think and perceive the world; they suffer from hallucinations, depression, and difficulty with memory and thinking. Others may think people should not live in such inhumane and horrid conditions because of the irreversible damage it will cause. Moreover, people may be critical due to the fact the people will have no freedom nor control over their lives in this setting. While I disagree with these accusations, it is reasonable to have concern for others but I can reassure that the negative effects will not pertain to our patients. Considering this method has been successful and widely used in prisons throughout the years, it is safe to assume that it will continue to be just as lucrative. They would not continue to force people to endure that type of treatment if it was damaging to the residents so since it is still effective in one way, I believe it can be a versatile solution to various
