It is important to assess all patients for any type of abuse. Healthcare providers should be knowledgeable in assisting to identify patients that may be suffering from some type of abuse. Some forms of abuse can be financial, mental, verbal or physical that occurs to patients. All patients should be assessed to determine if they are a victim of abuse when conducting examinations. All life stages from the age of infancy up to the elderly are affected by violence (Center for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2015). This is why it is imperative healthcare professionals assess all patients for abuse. Some abuse assessment screens only require a few questions to help identify victims. These screenings questions should be asked to help
