Why should assault rifles be banned? why should assault rifles be banned. They are made to get more rounds off at a time. They are not the cause of all murders they are also used to do sport shooting. Assault rifles should not be banned because they are used for sport shooting and are used to show off. In my opinion i don't think they should because they're used for more than just killing and murders and war. Nationally assault weapons were used in 1.4 percent of crimes involving firearms and 0.25 persent of all violent crime before the enactment of any national or state assault weapons ban. Assault rifles are inaccurate. They say assault rifles are military guns and and are used for war.In 2009, 49 police officers died

Any ban on “assault weapons” would in essence ban all armaments used to threaten or inflict bodily harm, including knives, bats, spears, and swords, as well as guns.…

Assault weapons were made in America for a reason so they should be allowed in America and should be legal. America is full of American citizens who have the right to bear arms and an assault weapon is a part of “arms” due to the fact is has a trigger and it shoots a bullet. It is unconstitutional to ban something that our four-fathers have given us the right to own. The second amendment was made a very long time ago when assault weapons werent made but yet today we still have that right and every gun is a part of the word “arms” including assault weapons. Assault weapons being banned would only increase crime because people would buy them illegally.…
