I remember it like it was yesterday; the multitude of breaking news stories coming through on my phone about a tragedy that would soon start outrage and lead to revolution. On February 14, 2018, 12:18pm in Parkland, Florida a former student, Nickolas Cruz, of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School opened fire on his former school, killing 17 and wounding 17 others. Word finally came around that the weapon used was an AR-15 semi-automatic style assault rifle. Many of us, including myself pondered the idea, how could a 19-year old access an assault rifle of this kind? Feeling shocked after hearing about this tragedy occurring, I felt compelled to do something about it. Calling upon my legislators for gun control/reform seemed to be the only feasible
