Assassin troopers, also occasionally called clone troopers,[4] were the trained soldiers of the Assassin League, the armed forces of the late Sith.[1][2] They were bred from the genetic template of Jedi Knight Noah Tolmach.[2][5] They were designated with the prefix "AL."[2]
The troopers spread across the galaxy in search of Jedi Masters Rowlf Swayze and Kermit.[1][2] Captain AL-316 took his freighter the Century Eagle to the Unknown Regions of the galaxy in search.[1] However, there the troopers became infected by a virus known only as The End, turning them into mindless monsters.[1] Of this skirmish that resulted when Darth Daniel sent a rescue team after the Eagle,[1] only three troopers survived: AL-102, AL-114 and AL-666.[1]
