After reviewing (J.C.’s) ASQ-SE and observing the child for a couple of week the lead teacher observed the behaviors that the parent had identified by the parent. For example, he had a short attention span, language delay, difficulty taking turns and playing with his peers. Also, he tried to harm himself as well as his peers. We invited her to have dad come and observe him. She stated that she didn’t have the same view as him, but he was in denial. During the meeting the lead teacher informed (J.C.’s) mother about the programs referral process and provided her the forms. The mother stated she would talk to her husband and inform us about her decision whether to refer him. After, a couple of days of waiting the lead teacher spoke with the child’s mother and asked if she had decided to proceed with the referral process.
