I agree that the role of individual counseling in today’s schools fits with the ASCA National Model because it guide us school counselors to have the same approach. The ASCA model is based on foundation (what the student will know), delivery system (how the school counselor will plan and deliver), Management system, and accountability. Inside the delivery system, we’ll find programs components like responsive services. This is one of the programs that will help us decide if we need to provide individual assistance, small groups, group counseling, consultation, referral, peer facilitation and crisis response. It is important to remember that direct services is the one serving the students, and the indirect is the one focusing in the school
