As an individual there is always something new that will intrigue us and without thinking much about it, we just want to delve into understanding and learning that which caught our attention. This is one reason why we need to be aware of the different cultures that are out there. I must admit that with little or no exposure this can be difficult. Beyond the understanding, the most important aspects are how these differences are communicated and the different verbal codes and gestures that are applied to them. Lacking the understanding and skills of a culture one wishes to delve into can leave them in an eerie situation, and no one wants that especially in a place you don’t necessarily call home. It is important to have a thorough knowledge of the different diversity that surrounds us because we never know when that knowledge will work in our favor.
