August 19th, 2016 was the day. The day that i spent virtually 7 years of my life in the weight room and on the field preparing for. The day i was going to play in my first varsity football game. I woke up that morning with one thing on my mind, Ashley Ridge. I had to wake up as the sun was rising to arrive at the elementary school in time to greet the kids. As the season went on that became a game day tradition for me. After i left i was on my way to school. The atmosphere was so thick, so exciting. After we split into our position groups we headed to the locker room for a speech and to pray.. Which means… kickoff… my first varsity snap. After i heard that everything was a blur, the tunnel run to the sideline, coach talking, the fans, everything was zoned out. We lined up for the kickoff.. I was the 2nd guy away from the kicker, he teed the ball up and we were

Looking back, there were a few other people close to me, but this helped bring our team out of our our losing streak back into our winning streak, but the game wasn't over, two quarters remained left in the B game, and this was just the start of the game that I will look back on and say this was the game that started it all.…
