Ashley Character Analysis

Readers identify Ashley’s change in character when she is put in a new setting. Ashley is currently living with her Grandpa and his wife in South Carolina and she is having a good time with her family; they have picnics in the park, take long drives to new places, and they provide Ashley with everything she needs. The author decided to make Ashley’s reunion with her Grandparents the main focal point because in previous chapters, readers notice the discomfort in Ashley’s character, she acts out when not given the attention and often disobeys her foster parents. However, as a reader one can see the growth and development in Ashley, living with her family in a new setting and atmosphere has changed Ashley. She is now following commands and orders
