Ashley Burgess Character Analysis

As she sits in her 2007 mustang, there are only 3 things on her mind: what she has overcome, what her family has done, and what her future has in store. For 16-year-old Ashley Burgess, these are the most important things in her life. On the surface she is simply a typical teenage girl. She loves the color red, the number 24, and the show Grey’s Anatomy. She enjoys being creative and she can’t resist singing along with a good country song. Although she maintains a positive attitude and always wears a smile on her face, things haven’t always been smooth sailing for Ashley. When she was only one-year-old, Ashley was diagnosed with a skin condition called Eczema. At the time, the doctor said it was the worst case he had ever seen. She …show more content…
Following in the footstep of her mother, Ashley wants to be able to provide to other people the same unending love that was displayed by her mother. She strives to be the person that people could come to for help no matter what the circumstance, just as her mother was. After high school, Ashley plans on attending college in order to fulfill her aspirations of becoming a surgeon. Due to her constant hospital visits when she was a child as a result of her Diabetes and Eczema, she feels the urge to be in the medical field. She hopes that this will give her a good opportunity to affect the lives of people in a positive manner, as her doctors did for her. Along the way, she hopes to meet a great man that she can marry and spend her life with. Ashley also desires to fulfill a lifelong dream of living in New York City. Furthermore, she hopes to travel to many other cities and even countries during her lifetime. While on her trips, Ashley hopes to experience the cultures of other people and better understand what life is like for the people of different regions. Although all of her aspirations are very important to her, she has one particular goal that will always be her number one priority. Ashley believes that she should always strive to simply be as good as she can be. She believes that if she always gives her all toward being a better person, everything will work out for her in the long
