THE CELL PHONE POLICY The views on cell phone policy are whether or not students should have them in class or if they should not have them, but through research a lot of evidence shows students shouldn't have them in class. The evidence state that cellphones are a distraction, and they encourage non-educational use in schools, and besides students are there to learn not to be on their phones. Some people think students use phones as a learning tool; however, students should not have them in school because they are just a distraction that encourages non-educational use in schools.
The evidence stated in the article “As Schools Lift Bans On Cell Phones, Educators Weigh Pros And Cons” just goes to show you that phones shouldn't be allowed in schools. It states “Allowing these devices will only encourage non-educational use in schools.” So this just proves that phones are encouraging non-educational use so why would you encourage them in schools if they just distract from learning. This insinuates that some students are not mature enough to have their phones at school because they would just be on other things that are not educational.

Schools allow the use of cellphones for educational use since they are a small little device and we can use them for all our classes, for example, all cellphones have calculators so there's no use of buying such expensive calculators for every math class. Students can also download apps that can be used for help for any classes which can become helpful, especially if teachers can't stay after school or come early in the morning for tutorials for the students that need it.
