It was a hot summer day. People screaming and yelling. A hot wind hitting my face. The shortness of breath making me tired. My goal is steps away. The closer I get the the farther away it moves. Everything around me just started going faster.

Then I get so close I can almost touch it, when my feet just loose the gravel and everything slows down.I suddenly feel a sharp pain In my legs like they had been stabbed three times. I can see only the the blood and flesh. “ Are you ok.”The teacher says as he helps me up. I don’t answer because the shrieking in my leg is now an overwhelming force.

Annabelle was being comforted by her brother and friends while Sonia sat far from her clique to prevent any further accidents, they were an even bigger problem. Olen walked to her, after he hung up, and began to question why she had committed herself to hurt Annabelle if they were sat far apart for reason. "She's intruding in my love life, she deserves much more than a punch." "Sonia, this will not land you in any more week suspensions from one class, they might expel you for harming another student, this is a risk towards your education and future."…

Going through the festival, I had ran straightly in front of many families, dancers, and mini shops set up just like senhor Henrique. Oh man, the expression on the little girl’s face when I zoomed straight past her, almost knocking over her corn on the cob. I was yelled at, but I did not care. The tires crunch heavily over the rocky path, crackling in the still morning air. The truck's headlights flood the darkness in front of us, slicing through the heavy veil to illuminate an unpaved road overshadowed with sweeping branches. When the car has gone as far as it can, we kill the engine and let the silence engulf us. We slip off our seats, tuck our surfboards under our arms, and creep through the trees until the sharp rocks beneath our feet smooth out into fine sand. Only black shadows on the beach, we are utterly and completely alone, blending in with the deepness of the sky and sea.…

September 13th, 2016; 1:52 p.m. I arrived at the Calvary Cemetery with my advisory following a short walk from Bard High School Early College Queens. To be honest, I didn’t expect anything much from the cemetery, as my head was filled with one apprehension, “What am I going to write for my polished piece of prose?” I, in fact, have never planned to write about the trip. Given the opportunities to explore the vast graveyard, I decided to turn left and vectored toward the quietest part of the cemetery, which also appeared to be the hottest due to the absent of shades.…
