Aryans: The Caste System In India

When Aryans came and conquered India, they brought a structure that had 4 different groups. This structure is called the caste system. The first class called Brahmins consisted of scholars, saints and teachers, and was the highest class in society. Brahmins lead a very strict life and avoid violence and greed. The King even was supposed to respect them and to kill a Brahmin was considered as a crime. The next class was known as Kshatriyas that were made up of warriors and Kings. They had many duties but the main duties were to protect and rule the empire. The third class was the Vaishyas which are farmers, traders, and merchants, who were dreaming to be wealthy and rich. They were like modern entrepreneurs but they had to respect people
