An artist manager is an amalgamated partner in the process of development of a solo artist or musical group career. The manager interrelates with record companies and production houses organise and confirm show dates and tours, systematize studio planning and, they also function as a lifestyle coach for the artist. It is the manager’s responsibility to tend to an artiste both personally and professionally, contributing to their positivity and creativity, and apprehending the value in their personal brand as a musical performer. Not inquiring the band goals what does the band want to achieve setting immediate and long term goals create a team to execute them. Self management, limited management, total management are the three types of artist management. Self management refers to when the artist instead of hiring a individual deals with business matters him/herself , this is normally the cheaper route for the artist to take and with that said is normally pursued by new artist. Limited management, as the name suggest sees the artist hiring an individual to undertake a minute number of specific task. Here the artist still has majority of the work to do, for example booking agents, attorneys, accounts ect. With this type of management system the “Artist Manager” may be paid a flat hourly rate, monthly or annual fee but is normally given a percentage of the artist earnings. Total Management here is
