Selfies are an expression of one’s self, put self-portraits are an expression of one’s personality. Artist Lilli Radford decided to compare her selfie with a violin because of her love for music. The object shows the artist's connection and love for music, that she found deep in her soul and a love that has thrived ever since. She longs for the day where the whole world will share her love and appreciation for music. Her first glace at the word selfie made her think about snapchat a narcissistic self-absorbed app, her opinion eventually changed with extensive research and lots of other opinions. Now when she hears the word selfie she thinks self-expression and love for one’s self.
