The Pros And Cons Of Artificial Intelligence

Today we live in a society where computers are becoming more intelligent and researchers say eventually it will exceed the human brain. Artificial intelligence is the making of intelligent machines that are able to preforms task that are completed by human beings. Humans create the technological programs so that one cannot exist without the other. As technology is advancing it stimulates the economy for which humans need survive. There have been many recent examples of artificial intelligence continuing to advance but not without error as evidence by autonomous vehicles and robotic surgery. Artificial intelligence has enabled humans to be more effective with cognitive functions, however humans may fear the future of artificial intelligence impacting the cognitive functions to the extent of minimum human productivity. The main concept of artificial intelligence is to develop machines that can help us accomplish tasks more effectively and make us recognize our intelligence as humans.
An example of this would be robotic surgery were medical team guides that robotic process to ensure a successful outcome with patient care. During

Instead of writing we use computers to type or use a calculator to figure out calculations. Artificial intelligence can be applied when doing repetitive and laborious tasks. For example in the workplace artificial intelligence is able to organize and administer records saving time for employees. One of the most beneficial advantages of artificial intelligence is unlike humans machines do need to sleep or take breaks. As humans typically need take a break during the workday before they began to find themselves uninterested or drained but machines are able to work through it without stopping. Intelligent machines can alter their limits like their speed and time so they are able to perform quickly and finish before

A brilliant mind, Ben Goertzel, a Chief Scientist from Brazil, talks in this article about thinking machines and immortality, and how these interesting topics could affect the modern society where we live. He states: “The machines will invent new machines, prototype them, and build the factories, without involving humans” We are evolving to a new era, the age of technology and digitalization. An article from National Geographic states that artificial Intelligence is already integral part of human lives, and we may not be aware of it. This short article gives an idea:…

In “Better Than Human,” Kevin Kelly discusses that we live in an economy where the revolution of technology is becoming more common. He states that “automation has eliminated all but 1 percent of their jobs, replacing them (and their work animals) with machines” (299). Soon jobs that are paperwork related will also be replaced with bots and so on. Automation will be so epic that it will soon do jobs as a lawyer, doctor, or an even a surgeon. Kelly states that creating robots will allow us to “see how far artificial intelligence has penetrated our lives” (301).…

and other “smart” technologies, we allow them to have things like thought, personality and the ability to learn. When given these abilities, we try to study and see if these artificial things have the same thought processes as a human does. According to the article by Joel Achenbach, humans have a built in quality to progress that is given by the universe and this allows for evolutionary process. This is an important part in when humans create things like A.I. and other technologies, the reason being that the understanding of how this progressive quality works is what pushes the better understanding of our creations. To help stimulate this, we allow our creations to have thought and learning processes which allow for these things to be taught and to use the skills taught.…

To think that the telephone was invented in 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell is mind-boggling, right? Today, in 2018, the technology is becoming so advanced that scientists are even creating artificial embryos. At the University of Cambridge in the UK, embryologists have developed mouse embryos using only stem cells (“You'll Want to Keep an Eye on These 10 Breakthrough Technologies This Year”). This is only one example of how technology has grown over the years. Unfortunately, as the sciences have expanded, so has the abuse and how people use it against others.…

First and foremost, AI technology goes against human values, such as truth, simplicity and respect of the human being. We shouldn't include AI machines in our society, because it's based on logic and just can fake emotions. I think our world's improval depends on our behaviors and ideas, which does not concern AI characteristics. Robots are not the future generation and it can increase only the human's efficiency. So, it can help or harm in our world, in a way or in another, because we do not control someone's use of his own bot.…

Some may ask of the importance of robots without knowing how much they make use of them daily. Robots are able to undertake assignments that humans are incapable of doing, such as extremely tedious, or just larger tasks that require time that most people just do not have. Writer Kevin Kelly, in the article Better than Human, explains the way humans and robots interact, and how humans will continue to grow heavily dependent on them. Robots are given the jobs that humans are incapable, or just do not feel like doing. The robots can also take on simpler tasks to make peoples lives and jobs easier.…

Artificial intelligence is presently superseding manpower and human capital in most industries. For instance, most of the works that used to be traditionally performed are now being achieved by intelligent machines. In the next few decades, artificial intelligence will replace the entire U.S. workforce in the form of high-intelligent machines. Futurist Ray Kurzweil through his “Singularity” concept has foretold an era around 2029, where computers will have elevated levels of consciousness, making them take over human operations.…

However, unlike the common portrayal of artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence systems are not out to replace humans and are not anywhere close to humans in their thinking abilities. Current artificial intelligence technology is best defined as decision making technology. Artificial intelligence is a developing technology that can improve human lives. Much of the artificial intelligence that has been developed so far is specialized for a specific situation but the ultimate development in the field of artificial intelligence would be to create a system that can handle any situation, known as a general intelligence.…

AI as a science, “surprisingly, tasks which we find hard, computers find easy and vice versa. Trying to understand why this might be is the scientific side of AI - it is the attempt to understand our own intelligence. In this way, AI cooperates with other sciences like psychology, and philosophy of mind, which tries to understand what it means to be human, and how we think. “(Artificial Intelligence.…

Machines can work 24 hours per day and it will not say that they are tired while human cannot work this long period of time. Again this is an advantage for artificial intelligence, a disadvantage for human. Artificial intelligence can complete task much faster than human with less errors and defects. This makes people think that they are inferior and make them to be under very high stress as they need to compete against machines. Artificial intelligence is cost efficient, when it is at the stage of developing, it may need large investment but when it is developed, it can replace human employees who need to be paid monthly with less efficiency while the cost of artificial intelligence is just maintenance…
