The article that I decided to dispute is about a victim who has to pay child support to the aggressor. According to the article, a 15 year-old boy who was raped by a 34 year-old women is now being subpoenaed to pay child support. Thirty-four year-old, Linda Kazinsky, repeatedly raped the now 19 year-old Jeremy Steen on a weekly basis for 3 years. The women may have been charged with a crime and she may have done her time for that crime, but in the long run did she really get what she wanted and had planned. In the end, does the women ultimately have the upper hand? Because in long run the boy will have to pay child support for a child he may not approve of and not only does he have to only pay once, but he has to pay until that child is 18-21 years of age, health care, and day care if needed and also, the 20,000 plus in back child support. In conclusion, the teenage boy will not receive his driver’s license until the back child support is paid and is up to date. So not only did this lady possibly destroy his mental state of mind, but she also made his life a lot harder than it needed to be. I think that in certain circumstances some people should not have to pay child support and the other person who was involved in conceiving the child should also have a say in the birth of the child especially in cases such as this.
