ARTISTIC LIFE by Eva Teichroeb Since I was a little girl I loved drawing and coloring with all the neat art supplies.Sometimes I even scribbled on my arms and legs. I started piano around the age of six or seven. My first few songs I learned from my *calso50.The keys lightned up red when I was supposed to press them.My best friend Ryleigh Stapleton got me started with piano lessons ,when I told her that I loved playing the keyboard.I started lessons on Jan. 25, 2015 on Tue. Now I’m in my Alphreds Piano Library Level D books.Piano music calms me down when I’m all worked up.

Hunter Santomaso The poem “Stopping By the Woods On A Snowy Evening” and the song “Live life Like You Were Dying” both have to do with life. But they are kind of different meaning of life. The poems theme is to always follow your dreams in life and the theme of the song is to do the stuff you want to do because you never know when that opportunity is going to be an option to you. The two techniques I saw for the poem is Symbolism-…

I loved the version Recorded at Raiford Women's Penitentiary in Florida 1939 featuring a state prisoner singing "Barbara Allen. " The song is based on a traditional ballad that originated in Scotland around the 14th or 15th century. It is about unreciprocated love and remorse. In essence Jhon Graeme loves Barbara Allen, but she denies his love. He dies soon after and she, consumed by guilt dies too.…

For My Choice, I was debating between a few different songs and artists. For the assignment, I have chosen the songs Heroes Tonight and Aurora both that are by Janji and Something just like this by Nadia Khristean. Other songs I had considered were Waving through a Window by Ben Platt, or Walk on Water by Thirty Seconds to Mars. Walk on water is more directed towards the population as a whole and how we want to accomplish things that seem impossible but not for the sake of love. Waving through a window comes from the musical Broadway Dear Evan Hansen.…

The song that fits my 8th grade experience is Kygo - Stranger Things ft. One Republic. I chose this song for three reasons. It melody matches my feelings, the lyrics express my 8th grade experience, and the transitions have helped me relax many times throughout my school year. To start off the melody is really calm and has a nice beat to it. Which changes throughout the song.…

The song “Paradise” is originally an English pop song by Coldplay, a British rock band. It was released on 12th September 2011 while the cover version of this song, “Peponi” was released 3 years later on 9th January 2012 by a crossover band - The Piano Guys. The Piano Guys had included some African folk-like elements into the original version of “Paradise” by adding some African traditional instruments, costumes and the language. I observed that The Piano Guys and Alex Boye have utilized their Bi-musical knowledge in their collaboration to create “Peponi”. Bi-musicality is the concept of not only researching music from other culture, but to also play-said music in order to further understand the cross-cultural differences.…

For the majority of the years before high school, I never really had an art class. It was quite sad since art and music were what I had looked forward to at the age of five. It wasn't until the fifth grade, I discovered my love for art. Although I wasn't taught any basics on how to do art, up until high school, I would still try and draw characters I loved, like Pokémon or Nintendo characters. I remember asking my mom to buy me computer paper just so I could draw Pokemon characters clearer because I didn't know what a sketchbook was until middle school.…

At Long Last Love The reason I gave this article this particular title was because even though Elvira Grunte met and saw Latvian poet and writer Eriks Raisters several times in Riga, Latvia they never dated. There was only a six year different in their ages but because Eriks was older and already finished with university to him Elvira seemed to be too young for him. In fact when they first met Elvira was just finishing high school.…

Every person in this world has an individual creativity built within them. My individual creativity personally took me a while to uncover, I only recently unearthed my true creativity during my junior year. I express my creativity through makeup, poetry, painting, drawing and redecorating my surroundings such as my room which I like to think of as my sanctuary because it’s the only place I can disconnect myself from everything, focus on myself and reflect on my days. Makeup is my main outlet of expression since that’s the one that’s in the spotlight and is a quote on quote paraded for the public eye to see when used correctly and minimally to enhance ones beauty it makes a person look more presentable and put together. I was inspired to write…

I love you honey, but I love me more at least that is what the phrase says. Daniela Romo wrote this song, dedicated to all the mujeres, who got their hearts broken because of a machista, a jerk. Years has gone by since I have last seen my first love, the one who I truly loved with all my heart. I still remember his monkey eyes, and his burnt-sugar colored skin. The feeling of hot, burning skin when we held hands, un chaparrito, a short person even for Mexican standards.…

“For very young children, making art -- or just talking about it- provides opportunities to learn words for colors, shapes, and actions” (Lynch). It is vital for a child to learn the importance of art early in their life so that they can choose whether or not they will be dedicated to pursue a career involving art skills. Learning about these basic forms of art at an early age gives children more insight in preparation for their educational life. “Although some may regard art education as a luxury, simple creative activities are some of the building blocks of child development” (Lynch). Students involved in simple creative activities within their peers can affect their emotional status and gives a more comforting feeling being around others that have similar qualities of enjoyment.…
