I liked this book because it talks of demons and their island of Hyrule . I adored the idea of mystical creatures that lived in an underground city. They lived among us cloaked and ready to stop the endless cruelty that humans are so well known for. They fight only peaceful battles as long as it was permitted.
Plot:
In the book Artemis Fowl the Lost Colony the mythical creatures that lived underground were faced with a demonic warping process. She is a brave and cunning elf with no sense of hopelessness. She always tried her hardest to complete any challenge she was forced to endure. She has hazel eyes but, had one blue eye added to replace the missing hazel eye. She would not give up even if that meant her death.
Impacts of setting:
This book took place mostly in the lost city of Hydras which was the largest demon settlement in the world. The place known as Hydras is an island trapped in another dimension in time and space. The story took place approximately around 1996. They also have visited Japan, Tokyo. This part of the story is where the climax happened. The climax being the bomb in the suitcase.
Thematic Connection:
A primary theme in this book was all life deserves a chance. Even the demons deserve to exist in their own way. Humans destroy the earth and the fairy people still believe they are worthy of life amongst them.
Recommendation:
I think this book was a very good book for anyone in which fantasy and mythical creatures are an interest. I would give it at least 4 out of 5 stars. Teens and younger adult males (13-20) would like this book because of the non-matured
