Summary
In the book Artemis Fowl, It all starts out with Artemis Sr. The father of Artemis Jr. has gone missing. This sets up the whole story because the whole series is about finding Artemis Sr. In the very first book the one i read not much happens. Basically it sets the story line for the rest of the book but it still has some action and adventure making it fun to read. I will start from the beginning and summaries trying not to give too much away. So like I said in the benign of the book Artemis SR. Has gone missing, this caused a great deal of trouble because he is very rich and smart, he is the leader of the family. So with him missing there is no one to be a father figure in the family. He does his research and finds that in Ho Chi Minh City, there is a book with clues given to where to find it. The book is all about fairies. So there whole plan if to follow the clues and find this book. Once they have found it they will study the book learning all about fairies. Then they will travel to Ireland to the end of a rainbow capturing a fairy. The whole point is to capture a fairy hoping that the Lower Elements Police Reconnaissance Unit (In other word the fairy police.) will come to save the missing fairy. Artemis predicts two things will happen from this. one, they can compromise with the L.E.P.R.U, and split some gold and he will use that gold to find his father ( Obviously this is his plan) or two him and butler will have to fight off the fairies. Something they don't want to do. It could go bad for both sides with the weapons Artemis and Butler have compared to the Fairies magic it would be an unpredictable outcome. Lucky the plan goes as planed. But there is a plot twist. He doesn't ask for money. When he finds out his mother has gotten more ill he asked the fairies to use their magic

We can all admit that at some point in our crazy and busy life, we have taken the time to look back and ponder on our childhood, our childhood dreams, the endless things we could do and not get punished for it, and the constant need to seek for adventure. But as an adult looking back, we don’t stop here, we continue to ponder and think about the importance of this event, the safety, and the ability to be able to accomplish it at such a young age. This passage from Sarah Orne Jewett’s “A White Heron,” takes us back down to memory lane and uses Sylvia’s climb to the top of the monumental pine tree to see the ocean as a metaphorical image to us, as adults, being able to achieve our wildest dreams for the future. This passage perfectly displays the danger, excitement and the “I did it” feeling by using a distinct narrative pace, a third person omniscient point of view, denoting diction, and imagery.…
