Art programs help people, but people are not helping arts programs stay in schools. Art programs are not getting as much funding as sport programs. When schools do not have enough money, they usually get rid of the art programs. People tend to think of sports as more important than the arts, even though art programs have many benefits. Art programs are not receiving enough funding in schools. Furthermore, schools do not carefully consider which programs should be cut when needed because art programs greatly help people. First, schools should try to raise more money for arts programs. This should be done especially before they decide to cut them so that their thoughts may change. Next, people should be educated on the benefits of art programs. Telling people about the amazing benefits will make everybody realize that art programs are not just an enjoyable after-school activity and that there are reasons to have them in every school. Another solution is some of the money in sport programs in a school should be taken out and given to art programs. If that step is made then it could even out the funding for each and make them equal. One other way is fundraisers such as bake sales should be held to raise money for art programs. Fundraisers will make acquiring enough money to make art programs’ and sport programs’ funding equal easier. Finally, when introducing a new art program in a school, students should be told what the benefits of art programs are in classes by their teachers. If students know about the benefits, then they may be more motivated to participate in an art program. However, other people may say that sport programs bring in more money than art programs, and therefore should get more funding
