Fads for losing weight pop up what seems like every 15 seconds, from the cabbage soup to the cookie diet to slim fast, the list goes on and on. While these diets may very well work and shed the pounds quickly, they tend to not be very permanent. Most people end up gaining more weight than lost when returning to their old ways. Maybe because in order to lose the weight and become a healthier you, you must realize that it is a lifestyle change and not a quick fix. Many people believe in detoxing the body before committing whole heartedly to lifestyle change. Out of all the thousands diets which one is really going to stick? Food combiners believe that eating a protein and diary like meat or cheese, requires one enzyme to be digested, with a carbohydrate, which requires another kind of digestive enzyme, will result in bloating and indigestion. Digestion is quicker when juicing because of only eating one type of food at a time.
Though most raw “juicearians” will probably only consume juice for the rest of their lives, it’s probably not in the best of your interest to drink only juice. A juice face, where you only drink juice or water but nothing else for a day or more, can have healthy benefits, but it’s not entirely necessary. Most juice enthusiasts detox a few times a year for 10 to 15 days at a time in order to reboot their system and flush out unwanted toxins.
There are many way to juice, you could start but buying a home juicer and doing it yourself which in the end can really pay off. The other option is going to juice bars, where you order from the menu and they will prepare for it you right then and there.
