What is art? Art can be presented in different ways such as painting, music and poetry in people’s daily life. Art which is presenting around people keeps changing over the time because when students study at the classroom, those desks and tables which they use are artworks. But when students look at their shoes, those shoes they wear are also art. Therefore, art is in a constant state of change and nobody can exactly define what art is. But artwork shares the same concept—art is form and content. Art presents in certain structures—visual, verbal and vocal—and it is full of content—meaningful. Based on the information from the internet, Martin Heidegger “have interpreted art as the means by which a community develops for itself a medium for self-expression and interpretation.” Art is an expression of a community to show the communication within people, and sometimes it represents how people’s life is. Moreover, art is a powerful voice and emotional idea of what people expect to change. The painting, “Execrable Human Traffick, or The Affectionate Slaves” created by George Morland expresses the scene of slavery trade and is exhibited at the Royal Academy, London in 1788. This painting mainly describes a heartbreaking scene which occurs on a beach along the West African Coast. An African man, whose hands were clasped, is restricted by two European slave traders.
