It’s a dream that I still hold until this day, but fulfilling that goal has not been easy for me personally. When I enrolled at the New York University School Continuing and Professional Studies I attended school on a part-time basis. I was so close to completing my studies because only needed one more semester to graduate. This scholarship would give me the opportunity to alleviate my financial short-coming by allowing the me opportunity to completing my degree. Completing my degree is very personal to me because I would be the first in my family to earn a college degree. That day would be a day I would cherished because I know that my parents who immigrate to the United States and left the homeland for the better future would see that the sacrifices that they made for my siblings were not in vain, but most importantly I would feel proud of myself as well.
