Going to the art gallery Blowout was my first time going to an art gallery in a very long time. I have never really been around art. The only art I have been exposed to has been through art class in middle school and high school. I found art class fun but art has never really stuck with me, I was never really good at it and that frustrated me. When I was assigned to go to the art gallery I was excited to see the art and be and try to become more familiar with art, with that excitement also came nerves. I did not know what to expect when going to the gallery and looking at all of the pieces of work. I was worried that my mind would think and question the art work. Artist can see these objects and see art out of them. This is called ready made, an everyday object presented as art. One pieces used multiple everyday object. This piece was called Rip Currents III by Sarah Krepp. It used rulers, buttons, Dominoes and all kinds of different everyday objects. One of the weirder objects I thought was used was jumper cables. All of the martial where combined together and arranged to create art. This piece of art really shows how art can be made out of anything; one just has to try. This kind of art work was really interesting to me and I thought it was very cool art form. It was interesting because when I think of art I think drawing and paintings. It was a new form of art that I was exposed too. It was very cool and neat art too; I really enjoined it and thought it was very cool. Going to the art gallery was a very good experience for me. I haven’t been around art a lot and having to go got me to go see art and be exposed to it again. It got me interested in art again, and to see the value behind
