Art Form Analysis

Both of the art form and the medium is drawing. What I see in this type of art piece is a hunter trying to trap a bear into a trap, or a hunter becoming a bear’s friend and his hands up in the air because he’s glad that the bear accepted him as a friend instead of eating him. The objects that I see in this artwork is an old guy, and an animal. I can tell that he’s and old guy because of how much hair he has on his head and his mustache and how his hand is bent into an odd shape. The bear is just easier to recognize because of the outline and he has some claws and his face is just shaped like a bears.

The artist chooses asymmetrical because he didn’t want the right side and the left to be the same, you can tell he used proportion if you look at the bear you can tell the bear’s face doesn’t match his head and of course you can tell the artist used repetition because of the colors, lines, and shape. The one element that creates a focal point is the lines, the lines draws your eye to the bear’s face. The movement in this art piece is very unstable it makes you look at the whole art piece at once. When you squint your eyes most of the light sides are the right and left side, but when you squint again you see the dark areas in the top and bottom. The purpose of this artwork is art for delight, I think he or see drew this art piece out of anger towards his or her parents and he or she drew what that feel deep inside that they’re trying to get revenge on their parents by griping at them and making them trap, like the caveman is doing to the bear. Her sculptures revolve around feminine work and explore the physical aspects of the women’s body. In the piece drawn by the artist Mike Luckovich, there is no title for the picture provided, the artist uses both text and figures to enhance the message. The piece of art is in color. Although he uses humor as a strategy, the author is serious about what he is portraying as an issue. He uses a standard font, but capitalized. The layout divides the picture into four different scenes, it shows president Obama in all four scenes, he is sitting down behind a table and facing the screen, wearing different suits in each scene, and his face expression shows that he is serious.…

In my drawing, I take the idea from No Such Things and create a type of elephants who have skinny legs. I use ball point pen to draw line and the outline of elephants, trees, and the rocks. I use the technique that Peet has used in Eli for the background setting in this setting. I bolden the trees’ outline and the rocks, so it could create the hard texture of trees and rock. Then, I use different color to paint the grass, so it could create a softness texture of the grass.…

They are too small beyond recognition, so viewers can just make out a figure. Some artworks that impressionists in the 19th century created share some commonalities with this painting. Impressionists depicted the nature with phenomenology excluding political, social, historical thought. They just focused on nature itself, so people are usually cropped or are represented by blurry silhouettes. The big difference from impressionism and the distinct feature of this painting is that what the artist wants to deliver is small philosophy, which is harmony between humanity and nature.…

In her 2006 article “The Trouble with (the Term) Art”, Carolyn Dean argues that the using the word “art” for both past visual expressions (particularly nonwestern) does not quite capture the true definition of what these pieces are. This argument is valid, to consider these works as mere entertainment erases a culture’s true history and identity. Dean has a very strong argument for the analysis and retirement of the term “art”, however the ideas surrounding the concept of “art” explain the larger issue as a whole. Carolyn Dean argues that pinning the recent idea of “art” on nonwestern works does not inform one about the culture, but rather condenses that culture into easily defined novelties.…
