Art Experience Research Paper

My experience with art focus on the three years in high school I took some art class. My freshman year of comprehensive art focused on bookwork. We still did drawings in-between the textbook sessions. Like lighting and shades of objects, such as shapes 2d and 3d perspectives. We continued on to face sketches, which I wasn’t very good at nor did I want to do it as much. My sophomore year of drawing and painting covered several of art forms. Most of the time we copied pictures off of the internet and recreated them in a different form of art. I used oil pastel to mimic a basic color picture, it was pretty simple I just had make it look as close as the original. Using charcoal to mimic the ceiling of a roman catholic church took a while to get a precise shading of corners, due to the angle of the photo. Painting was an enjoyable thing to do because I was pretty decent at it. Then we studied a lot of art history for most of a semester. I am a fast learner, if I watch someone do something I can copy the way they do it or find a simpler way for me to understand. I am a highly dedicated and committed individual. Once I put my mind into something will complete to the best of my ability. No matter what the assignment I will turn it in on the due date and take the grade I deserve. Being involved in video games is one of those things you decided what you wanted to do as a kid. Like being a fire fighter, police officer, or even a doctor. Playing video games just stuck with me till this day. The main reason I chose SCAD over other schools is that Interactive design and game development offers a career as a level designer.
