There are many different focuses in art. There is a lot of diversity in art like, media and process, also fine and applied; these diversities allow many different career options. Georgia O’Keeffe once said “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way things I had no words for.” (Art Quotes). “Art media consists of the materials the artists use to create artworks” (Mittler 18).
For example paint is an example of art media. So if someone was painting a picture, their paint would be their material they used to create their picture. “Art process is the action involved in making art.”(Mittler 18). So if someone is painting a picture, when they are painting, that is the art process because it’s the action they are doing to create art their picture. So for example, a sculpture is a form of fine arts. Now, applied arts is like the decoration on objects. So if you see a big clay pot, and you see all these cool designs on the side of them, that is applied arts. It’s also stuff that catches your eye on an art work. Even on a big glass plain, some of them have really cool designs with all these different colors on them and make them really look cool. That is applied art. It catches your eye and you see interesting designs. So how fine arts and applied arts are different is that fine arts is just like a sculpture or a watercolor painting.
