Kaiser Permanente is a well-recognized organization that is known for its quality care and is always ahead of the innovative curve. Its biggest competitor is Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center (KPFMC), which is number one in the SB County area. However, due to high level of Medi-cal patients in the area, ARMC is always busy. ARMC serves 80% of IEHP patients which other healthcare entities like KPMC and LLUMC do not cater to. This is due to low reimbursement rates per patient. On average, ARMC serves people from lower socio-economic status and suffer from multiple chronic diseases. In order to better serve this population, ARMC is heavy on the ambulatory services. The outpatient services provide preventative care that is needed for such population in order to control prevalent chronic diseases. Patients who are at high risk have care managers assigned to them. These managers are responsible for educating, tracking the patient through the system, and controlling their symptoms. They provide all the necessary services that a patient needs whether its transportation or medication, ARMC provide wide array of services to cater to this population.
