Arrogance, or the act of being arrogant, is defined as having an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance or abilities. People are able to tell if someone is arrogant from a mile away. Arrogance is generally a very annoying, un-classy emotion. Arrogant people are full of themselves and do not care what anyone has to say no matter what. People always seem to get arrogance and confidence mixed up; arrogance is more bragging and thinking you’re above everyone else while confidence is quietly believing in yourself. Many of the examples of arrogance I am going to show you today were said by some of the world’s greatest athletes, musicians, and successful businessmen. In these quotes, Muhammad implies that no one can ever beat him. He is literally putting himself on the level of a God. No one is invincible no matter how good you are. People may argue that as a fighter, you have to be self-absorbed and arrogant but I disagree; simply being confident would be enough to accomplish your goals as a fighter.
